Betty "BJ" Gordon

Faulkville- Betty “BJ” Conley Gordon, 59, succumbed to cancer
on Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home under Hospice care.
Born on April 1st, 1953 in Savannah, she graduated Savannah High School in
1971. She was a long time resident of Effingham County, where she raised her
family. Betty was an avid reader who loved sewing, crafts, and cooking for
her family whom she loved very much. She was a member of the Dixieland
Cruisers Car Club and collector of antiques. Betty was of the Baptist faith
and is survived by George Gordon and her children; Marie Gordon of Clyo,
Lamar Gordon of Faulkville, Mary Ann Patrick (Marc) of Faulkville, Aaron
Gordon of Pooler, Lisa Gordon of Valrico, FL and Daphne Richard (Kevin) of
Valrico, FL along with 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
longtime companion, Don Lockard.
The memorial service will be held in celebration of her life on Saturday,
May 19th, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church located at 4010 Old
Louisville Road in Garden City.
